I was raised in a wonderful Christian home in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas, and like every good Texan who loves the best, I went to Texas A&M University where I got a couple of degrees in Architecture. While I loved to see things built, God impressed upon my heart that building lives was more important than buildings.

So after surrendering to God’s call to ministry in 1994, I went to Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, where I earned a Master’s degree in Divinity. I am currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Seminary.

The Lord led me to join the Swift Creek staff in July of 2006 as the Associate Pastor of Education and Evangelism. I had previously served two churches in Texas and Maryland as pastor.

I am married to the beautiful Andrea, who is my best friend, and have been very blessed with two children, Elizabeth and Daniel, who both keep me laughing all the time.

As anyone will tell you, I love to laugh and tell stories. I believe God loves to see us tell His story of love and grace, and rejoices when lives are transformed by His saving grace in Christ Jesus.
