Adult's Ministry

To enrich adult understanding of Biblical texts and history, Swift Creek Baptist Church offers various adult programs ages 18 and above. These programs include events for women, men, singles, and young at heart. We offer seasonal Bible studies and other events that will increase your knowledge of Christ, enhance your relationship with Him and others, and provide an avenue for you to feel connected in some way with Swift Creek Baptist Church. Adults

We want to provide you with what you need for this specific time in your life and believe that God’s Word has the answers. Hand-in-hand, with the guidance we can gain from the Bible, is the comfort and practical application that others may provide. There is a special bond that exists within our God-family and we are pleased to provide a variety of classes to best fit the issues and ages of membership.

Young Adult Couples & College Age

This is a great group of men and women who can address those issues involving “start-up” years and provide guidance for planning for the future. Using God’s Word as the blueprint to build the foundation of a solid marriage and inviting a time of open sharing of questions and concerns is a format that allows dynamic development.

This group also includes College age persons who are looking to share life’s goals and receive direction on issues that are important to their future. Many social activities are planned that allow for interaction, and discussions concerning God’s directions while exploring vital issues as fresh as today’s headline.

Adult Couples (typically age 28 or older)

We offer a number of classes for couples with young children, teenagers, and college age that are of like mind and can share life’s experiences and provide godly guidance for issues surrounding our culture. We’ll be glad to provide guidance on the right group but leave the decision up to you on where you find the best fit. Study and discussions will address key topics, provide valuable insights, and keep you apprised of issues essential for specific phases of life. All are invited: married or single.

Singles (Beyond college)

The Single Adult Ministry of Swift Creek Baptist church is comprised of adults who have never been married, widowed, separated or divorced. We invite you to join us for Sunday School, Worship, Bible Studies, or any of our fun-filled social events - some that include children and some for the adults only - but regardless, the activities always focus on fun, fellowship and our shared love for Christ!

Young At Heart (Seniors)

For those who no longer have responsibilities of college age children and who may be retired, close to retirement age, or thinking about retirement. This is a vital group of individuals who meet on a monthly basis to discuss topics of unique interest to them. This group is very active with trips, eat out, and engaging in a variety of activities to make life more interesting. Events are planned year-round.

Men’s Groups

Coming from the unique perspective of men, the range of offerings includes a Men’s Breakfast, small group study sessions, and Sunday morning Bible study groups. To meet the increasing demands of son, father, grandfather, friend, husband, worker and leader – our men’s groups and activities are uniquely structured to provide the tools needed to keep a balance approached to a wholesome life and pure godliness.

Women’s Groups

Women today need a diverse assortment of skills – from homemaker to co-worker, from wife to mom, from confidante to giver-of-wisdom. Today’s woman is an intricate design of unique quality. To confront these challenges, our women’s ministry offers MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers), women Sunday morning Bible study, Wednesday night and Thursday morning classes with key study guides to address the needs and wants of our women. With our annual retreats, Fun Shops, times to laugh, and our unique WFFN (Women’s Fun and Fellowship Nights), we strive to provide specific answers to specific needs.
