Dear Brothers:

 

Greetings and blessings in Christ, and Happy New Year!

 

As you look ahead to the many opportunities and challenges of the new year, we invite you to join the bold and exciting movement of the Men’s Ministry here at Swift Creek. Led by Kirk Sullivan, Preston Crowder, and Pastor Bill Gohmert, our Men’s Ministry has been revitalized in an effort to exhort all men to grow spiritually and to lead their families in their Christian walk. It is our desire to provide you with the spiritual tools and support you need to walk more closely with Christ and to help lead others in their walk as well. It is our mission “To boldly challenge men to worship God, to grow in Christ, and to lead by serving families, the church and the community.”

 

This bold movement has already begun with our weekly Quest for Authentic Manhood discipleship classes, and has continued with other events such as our Golf Tournament, Manger Build, and Men’s Prayer Breakfasts. Our initiative is simple -- to provide activities that appeal to men of all interests and to connect them in a network that has a Godly influence and will lead to accountability and support that we all need as we lead our families. We exhort you to be a part of this movement for the benefit of yourself, your children, and those that you can influence with your life.

 

Please take a moment to review the attached list of exciting events that are already planned in the upcoming year of 2010. In addition to the events you see on the attached calendar, we are also planning other exciting events such as canoe and fishing trips (both fresh and saltwater), so whatever your interests, we hope you’ll join in as this is sure to be our greatest year ever.
