Women's Ministry - FunShops FAQ
FunShops FAQ's
What is FunShops?
FunShops is an annual event hosted by the Women’s Ministry of Swift Creek Baptist Church where women share their expertise and experience on topics that include crafts, gardening, personal growth, cooking, fitness, music, relationships, and other special interests areas. We invite a speaker to deliver God-honoring messages in areas of spiritual development and growth. The term for “FunShops” was initiated by our pastor’s wife, Debbie Brown. God gave her insight as to how women can come together and share with one another in a class-like setting. This is a two-day event.
We begin the event on a Friday evening with networking, dinner, music, the first message from our guest speaker, and our first FunShop. On Saturday, we begin with continental breakfast, followed by music and another message from our speaker, and breakout to attend our second and third FunShops. Lunch is served at noon, and then we are dismissed to attend our fourth and final FunShop. After the fourth FunShop, we assemble for our final session and the event concludes around 3:30 p.m.
