Upcoming Trips

October 20, 2009 - Williamsburg, Virginia

On October 20th a trip is planned to visit Bassett House, the Rockefeller home, and the Abbey Aldrich Rockefeller Museum with lunch at Seasons in Williamsburg.  Lunch will be at the "Seasons" in Williamsburg. Cost is $20.00 each for the trip. If anyone has a yearly pass to Williamsburg, the cost will be only $11 each to be able to cover the cost of the bus. Each person will also have to pay for their own lunch that day.

Those who want to go on the bus trip to Williamsburg in October were supposed to bring their $20.00 each to the May 5th meeting. Since there will not be any meetings for the months of June, July, August, or September, it was necessary to collect the money for this trip now. If you still want to go and didn't pay at this meeting, mail yours to Pat as soon as possible.

Young at Heart plans a trip to Fredericksburg to attend a dinner theater there.

April 21, 2009 - Mount Vernon - Home of George Washington

The 55-seat bus for this trip was full. The weather was surprisingly beautiful because it had rained the day before and called for rain that day. The flowers were especially beautiful. The redbud trees, the Japanese cherry trees, the tulips, and the lilacs, were in full bloom. The Lord blessed those who attended with a wonderful trip and a fun time with many great friends. Trip to Monticello, Home of Thomas Jefferson in Charlottesville, Virginia

The bus was full and everyone had a wonderful time. The house tour was so interesting and the weather was also very nice which helped to make the day quite enjoyable.

Trip to the State Capitol in Richmond, Virginia
