The children’s ministry of Swift Creek Baptist Church believes your
children are one of the most precious gifts God gives to you. For this
reason we strive for excellence in ministering to your children. We
provide an exciting and caring atmosphere through developmentally
appropriate Bible Study and activities that will lay the foundation for
faith in Christ. Each ministry builds on this foundation promoting
Godly character and conduct that is based on Biblical principles. Our
children’s department encompasses 1st through 6th grades.
Children's Sunday School
Children's Sunday School, meeting at 9:30 am on Sundays, for 1st through 6th
grades, provides a loving, nurturing, age-appropriate environment that
lays the biblical foundation for faith in Christ and Godly living.
Our teachers utilize teaching methods that address the many
different learning styles of children in order to maximize their
learning and enjoyment. Each grade level department consists of a TEAM
of teachers working together to best serve your children.
Children grow in their faith through Bible Knowledge, Prayer, Memory
verses and developing the habit of doing daily devotions (a time with
God). Building healthy relationships with their peers and family is
emphasized as well.
The 1st through 6th grade children may worship with their parents at 11am or they may participate in Kidz Worship.

New Believer’s Class for Children
At Swift Creek Baptist Church we strive to lay a good foundation for
those children who are “new babes” in Christ. Each quarter a New
Believer’s Classes are offered for Kindergarten through 3rd graders,
and 4th through 6th graders. In the class the children review what it
means to trust Christ as their Savior and learn that they can have
assurance of salvation. The basic tenets of our faith such as baptism,
the Lord’s Supper and “The Church” are taught and thoroughly explained.
These classes are strongly recommended for children prior to baptism,
but are not a requirement. Classes are purposely kept small so that
there’s time for individual attention and questions. Parents should
call the Children’s Ministry office to register a child for this class.

Discipleship is an imperative command from our Lord – not just for
adults but for our children as well. And let’s anchor our children in
the Word that they may be “like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. What
ever he does prospers.” Psalm 1:3
Special Needs Sunday School Class
Meets at 9:30 am and 11 am, Sunday. Provides a loving atmosphere and appropriate spiritual training for those in 1st thru 6th grades with special needs.
Kidz Worship, at 11 am on Sunday, serves our 1st through 5th
graders targeting the praise and worship needs of our children while
building a bridge for their eventual graduation to the adult
congregational worship.
During this hour and a half, the kids gain biblical knowledge and
learn to apply it to their lives through singing, sharing, and relevant
teaching.
